I have a 2002 Ford Focus and the engine light came on?

I have just seen your personal review on the Actron CP9190 and was wondering if it is compatible with my Focus 2002. A local garage said p0755 was the problem which according to tech means that the solenoid valve malfunction B SHIFT. I need to know if this fault is inside or outside the  transmission?
If so, what do I have to do to fix it myself?

There is a big chance it may only be a temporary thing because a small particle (partial clogging) got stuck in the solenoid. The code may disappear by itself.

If it doesn’t right away, check out the color of your tranny fluid. If it is pretty much red or brown and smells ok, then flush the tranny and see if that gets rid of the code. If not, pull out some fluid and add a bottle of Seafoam Trans Tune and run it for 1 or 2k miles. Then flush the transmission again. Check back with a compatible diagnostic obd2 scanner to see if the code has cleared.

If this problem persists,  you’ll most likely need  to replace the solenoid.

Possible causes are:
* Solenoid is stuck open or closed.
* Valve body clogged or valve stuck.

A certified Ford service tech can check the system without removing the pan with Ford’s dedicated diagnostic analyzer.

Regarding the Actron CP9190 should be compatible with your 2002 Focus. Just check full specs before purchasing but according to my model list your car model is included.
