Can’t understand Code from ford taurus!?

I have a 1993 ford taurus 3.8L V6 automatic GL. I got a code from a “innova ford OBD 1 digital code reader” that I don’t understand. Here is the code: code 634, manual lever position sensor voltage higher or lower than expected or A/C on. Can you tell me what this code means? What is wrong with my car?

You have bad Neutral safety switch or maybe a wiring problem within the neutral safety switch. This communicates with your ECM to let it know if the car is in Park or Neutral.
