I’ve done a transplant on my 1998 voyager and replaced it with another identical 1998 voyager SUV, but now I have some fault codes on it.
The doner transplant SUV ran good but my SUV locked up one day. Both are 3.3L engines and trans was identical, at least to the eye. Suddenly I’m getting readings on obd meter, code P0700pd, P0500pd and P0731 which means the 1st gear ratio is incorrect and the 500 code is speed sensor issue which I know of this problem, and am ready to fix that. About the 731 and 700 I really am baffled and have no idea on how to proceed the fix. Will I manage to get something more concrete by putting back my old computer from transplant solve these issues I’m having?
When swapping or replacing a 41 TE transmission, you have to have it re programed to the transmission module with a DRB ( Diagnostic Read-out Box ) at the dealer. It takes about 30 minutes. Otherwise the speedometer won’t work and you’ll end up having only second gear.
