If my car is a 95.. can I still scan it with a OBD scanner?
and if so where is the connection on a MITSUBISHI GALANT?????????? can someone answer!!
A 1995 Model car is still under the OBD I system, starting in 1996 all Models went to the next step up the OBD II system…
The data links for the hooking in of scanners/code readers are pretty easy to find and have a uniform pattern, regards location. Most are found on the drivers side near either the steering column (usually just to right of column somewhere), mounted to an under dash cover plate or very near and up slightly under the dash near the brake pedal.
It should be a rectangular female plug with 12-spade connectors for the OBD1 diagnostic reader’s harness. A 16-spaded connector means your vehicle is running with the OBD2 system.
