2006 G6. The remotes won’t lock/unlock doors or do remote start & the OBD port will not register on scanner?
The remotes will pop the trunk and sound the panic, but will not enable the remote start or lock/unlock doors. My mechanic says his Obd Scan tool will not communicate with the car either.
Your mechanic doesn’t have a GM CAN compatible scanner. It takes a Tech II with a CANDI module. The do-it all mechanic isn’t going to fork out the $$$ for a vehicle dedicated specific tool. They will only have generic code readers and/or scanners. You might have to end up solving your problem at a GM dealer. Good luck mate with your checkbook.
