Safety Procedures: |
________________________________________________________________________________________________
| 1. | Always work with safety in mind before starting any diagnosis and repairs. Keep a fire-extinguisher (foam or powder) and fire-blanket within easy reach. [Note: Extinguishable powder is very corrosive on most alloys, paint finishes and bare, unprotected steel] |
|
| 2. | Always use the proper tool for the proper job. This avoids unnecessary damages to tool and vehicle, while minimizing risks of injury. | |
| 3. | Always disconnect the battery when working / dismantling anything from the fuel circuit. | |
| 4. | Only work on your vehicle in a well-ventilated area. | |
| 5. | Remember that modern fuel injection systems have high pressure in the circuit. Dismantle any fuel injection part accordingly by first releasing the pressure. |
|
| 6. | Finally, but not least; if you do not feel confident in tackling the job pay for professional repairs, or at least seek professional and honest advice. |
