OBD1 USB Cable

Where can I get an OBD1 to USB cable?

I’m building a computer and want a digital readout of several parameters from the car’s computer. The vehicle is a 1992 Toyota Camry LE sedan with the 4 cyl engine. This precludes me from using obd2. The car has an electronic speedometer and tachometer so I know the data is there. I’m interested in importing the data in real time into an app I’m writing to track real time fuel consumption and display a nice gauge etc. Anybody know where I can find an inexpensive odb1 to usb cable and where I can find info on how to interface it? USB is ideal because the computer I’ll be connecting doesn’t have a serial connection.
I’m going to be using this to build a HUD for my car and later correlate things such as my real time gas mileage with my current location on a map so I can find the most fuel efficient route.

Actually, the data is not in there. The speedometer gets its input from the Vehicle Speed Sensor and the tach gets its input from the ignition. The computer uses a handful of inputs (including the VSS) to control engine operation but has no data connector for diagnostics at all.

OBDI was the first generation of engine and emissions management. There was no standard for error codes or display, and some frustrating vehicles (like my 1985 Volvo) had no diagnostic capability at all! OBDII brought a lot of standards for codes, interfaces and mandatory functions.
